Martin Zubimendi, a midfielder for Real Sociedad, will undergo a medical examination prior to finalizing his transfer to Arsenal.
According to reliable sources in London, the deal is nearing completion and all the necessary paperwork pertaining to the Spain international’s move to the Emirates stadium has been signed.
Arsenal is currently organizing a medical, which is a prerequisite for the transfer.
All sides are at ease regarding the medical’s scheduling because Zubimendi’s switch paperwork has been finished, but there is a desire to conclude the deal’s formalities as soon as possible.
Arsenal will be able to declare Zubimendi’s signing when the 26-year-old passes the physical test.
According to reports, Zubimendi has a £51 million release clause, and Sociedad and Arsenal have already agreed on the financial arrangements.
Zubimendi has long been admired by Arsenal, who have been negotiating a contract to sign him for some months.
In addition to Zubimendi’s impending arrival, the Gunners are looking to recruit a center-forward, and Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko are two of their top targets.
Additionally, negotiations are still going on for new contracts with Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, Gabriel, Leandro Trossard, Thomas Partey, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Ethan Nwaneri.
