Nigeria’s Super Falcons will learn their group stage adversaries for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) on Friday.
The draw is set to take place at the Technic Centre of the Mohamed VI Football Complex in Sale, located near Rabat, Morocco.
A total of twelve nations will vie for the prestigious title in this biennial tournament.
Among the participating teams are the host nation Morocco, the reigning champions South Africa, as well as Zambia and Ghana.
Other qualified teams include Algeria, Botswana, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tunisia, Senegal, Tanzania, and Mali.
The tournament is scheduled to occur from July 5 to July 26, 2025.
The Super Falcons hold the record as the most successful team in the competition’s history, having secured nine titles.
