The Troost-Ekong Foundation is set to host the second edition of its charity football match on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos, featuring an exciting blend of international sports stars and top Nigerian entertainers—all coming together to make a difference.
Building on the success of its first outing in Uyo, the 2025 match, themed Play For Purpose, aims to raise funds and awareness in support of underprivileged children, using football as a vehicle for empowerment and social change.
Expected on the pitch are global boxing champion Anthony Joshua and football greats such as Victor Osimhen, Odion Ighalo, Obafemi Martins, and Vincent Enyeama, alongside music and pop culture heavyweights like Falz, Flavour, and ODUMODUBLVCK.
Supported by NoOnes, with additional backing from BFA Sports, Puma, and Power Horse, the charity match promises a thrilling and purposeful spectacle that combines star power with heartfelt impact.

For lovers of football and music, this is where you should be.
The foundation, led by Nigerian national team captain William Troost-Ekong, continues to earn praise for its commitment to community development and youth-focused initiatives. “This match is more than just entertainment—it’s a statement of hope and a call to action,” Troost-Ekong said ahead of the event.
In the build-up to the match, the foundation held a well-attended jersey unveiling at the Puma store in Palms Mall, Lekki, drawing fans, influencers, and key supporters. Among the notable attendees was Bobo Ajudua, principal partner at BFA and Co Legal—a respected figure in the fields of media, entertainment, and sports law.

With preparations in full swing, the 2025 charity match is shaping up to be one of the most meaningful and exciting events of the year—blending sportsmanship, celebrity energy, and purpose in a way that truly resonates.
