Former Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has allegedly reached out to Portuguese icon Cristiano Ronaldo to inquire about his interest in transferring to Fenerbahce.
Mourinho currently leads the Turkish club, having taken on the role this season.
The Portuguese coach is eager to strengthen his team and is particularly interested in acquiring players who have previously played under his guidance.
The two collaborated during their time at Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013, achieving remarkable success, including the first-ever 100-point season in LaLiga history and a Copa del Rey title, with Ronaldo contributing 168 goals and 49 assists in 164 matches during that period.
Reports from Turkey, supported by SPORTbible via Sportskeeda, suggest that Mourinho contacted the five-time Ballon d’Or recipient, asking, “Are you content there? There are rumors about your desire to leave. If you do decide to leave, would you be interested in joining Fenerbahce?”
Ronaldo is currently in the final year of his contract with Al-Nassr and has already scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 15 appearances this season.
