French international Theo Hernández is set to complete a transfer to Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal, with a deal now finalized between the club and AC Milan, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The 26-year-old left-back is expected to sign his contract in the coming days after a verbal agreement was reached two weeks ago. AC Milan will reportedly receive a €25 million transfer fee for the defender.
Romano confirmed the development on Monday, stating: “Theo Hernández to Al Hilal, here we go! Agreement now being sealed after verbal pact made two weeks ago. AC Milan will receive €25m transfer fee as Theo will sign his contract in the upcoming days. New left back for Simone Inzaghi.”
Hernández will join a growing list of high-profile European players at Al Hilal and is expected to play a major role under new head coach Simone Inzaghi.
The former Real Madrid player joined AC Milan in 2019 and quickly established himself as one of the team’s key figures. He played a pivotal role in the Rossoneri’s 2021/22 Serie A title-winning campaign and was widely regarded as one of the top left-backs in Europe during his time at the San Siro.
His departure represents a major shift in Milan’s defensive structure ahead of the upcoming season.
