Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen has regained the club’s captaincy after the closure of a disciplinary case against him.
The Spanish champions confirmed on Friday that Ter Stegen signed the necessary authorisation allowing the club to send La Liga the medical report from his recent surgery.
With the paperwork completed, Barcelona announced that the case had been officially closed, reinstating the German international as first-team captain with immediate effect.“

Ter Stegen, who joined Barcelona from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2014, has been one of the team’s key figures and is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in world football.
