Super Falcons forward Omorinsola Babajide has completed a move to Italian Serie A Femminile side AS Roma, signing a two-year contract with the club, according to a statement on Roma’s official website.
Babajide joins the Italian champions on a free transfer following the expiration of her contract with Spanish Liga F outfit UD Tenerife in May.
The 26-year-old forward, known for her versatility and pace, becomes the second Nigerian international at Roma, linking up with compatriot Shukurat Oladipo at the club.
She is expected to join her new teammates after the conclusion of the ongoing 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, where she is representing Nigeria.
A former player for Liverpool and Real Betis, Babajide has been handed the number 30 shirt by the Giallorosse as she begins a new chapter in her club career.
