Raheem Sterling is among nine senior players omitted from Chelsea’s official squad list for the 2025/2026 Premier League season, a group that has been informally dubbed the club’s “bomb squad.”
The players, considered surplus to requirements, are expected to be offloaded this summer as the club reshapes its squad under new management.
Sterling, who spent last season on loan at Arsenal, has returned to Stamford Bridge but is now linked with several clubs amid speculation over his future.
Chelsea unveiled a 31-man squad for the new campaign on their official website, featuring all recent signings, including Jorrel Hato, who joined from Ajax in a deal confirmed on Sunday.
Notably excluded from the list are; Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi, Renato Veiga, Alfie Gilchrist, Carney Chukwuemeka, Lesley Ugochukwu, Armando Broja, David Fofana.
The excluded players are expected to be transferred, loaned out, or otherwise moved on as Chelsea looks to streamline the team ahead of the new season.
