Manchester United and Newcastle United are battling to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko this summer.
Sesko had been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, but the Gunners have now secured the signing of Viktor Gyokeres, effectively ending their pursuit.
With Alexander Isak pushing for a move away, Newcastle are actively searching for a replacement up front. The Magpies had targeted Hugo Ekitike, but he opted to join Liverpool instead.
Ironically, Liverpool are now frontrunners in the race to sign Isak, as they continue to strengthen their attacking options.
At Manchester United, manager Ruben Amorim is eager to bolster his frontline. Following the arrivals of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha to operate in dual playmaker roles, the focus has shifted to landing a clinical striker.
Sesko is expected to decide on his next move in the coming days.
