The stage is set for an exciting showcase of talent as the Amazons 2.0 Tennis Tournament returns on March 28, 2026, at the historic Lagos Lawn Tennis Club 1895, Onikan.
This year’s edition comes with even greater anticipation, as organizers announce a significant increase in prize money—further underlining their commitment to celebrating and empowering women in sports.
With over 130 female athletes registered to compete, the tournament—held in celebration of International Women’s Month—continues to grow in both scale and impact.
Updated Prize Breakdown
- Winner: ₦300,000
- Second Runner-Up: ₦200,000
The increased prize fund is made possible through the support of Igboya Bitters. Speaking on the partnership, CEO Mr. Okafor Ugochukwu Edwin emphasized the importance of investing in women:

“Our women are precious jewels we cannot celebrate and appreciate enough. Any support to keep them happy, healthy, and stronger, we want to be part of it. It was easy for us to take up the prize money for both the winner and runners-up. It is good to reward and encourage effort, and this is what we plan to do on that day.”
Beyond the competition, Amazons 2.0 represents a powerful movement—one that blends sport with purpose. The tournament provides a platform for female athletes to showcase their abilities, inspire the next generation, and foster unity within the community.
Fans can expect thrilling matches, fierce competition, and an electric atmosphere as players take to the courts, ready to demonstrate skill, resilience, and passion.
As the countdown begins, one thing is clear: Amazons 2.0 is not just about tennis—it’s about celebrating strength, excellence, and the unstoppable spirit of women in sport.
