Victor Osimhen has been named Sportsman of the Year at the 2025 GQ Türkiye Men of the Year Awards.

The Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker received the honour during a glamorous ceremony on Wednesday night.

Osimhen was celebrated for his outstanding contribution to Galatasaray’s domestic double last season, where he delivered 37 goals and seven assists across all competitions for the Turkish champions.

The 26-year-old has continued his impressive form this season, scoring 11 goals in 14 appearances under manager Okan Buruk.

With the recognition, Osimhen becomes the first Nigerian ever to win the award.
