NPFL: Heartland, Rangers Oriental Derby Clash Postponed

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has officially rescheduled the matchday 13 fixture between Heartland and Rangers.

Originally set for Sunday, November 24th, the match will now occur on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024.

This highly anticipated Oriental derby will be held at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.

The change in schedule was prompted by complications encountered by Heartland during their return from the matchday 12 game against Kano Pillars last weekend.

Heartland communicated this update via social media, stating, “In compliance with the NPFL’s directive and with the players’ welfare in mind, our Oriental derby match against Rangers, previously scheduled for Sunday, November 24, will now be held a day earlier on Saturday, November 23rd at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.”

They further expressed their regret for any inconvenience caused and urged fans to support the team during the match.
