Thirty-two countries have now secured qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Norway becoming the latest nation to book their place following a commanding 4-1 victory over Italy on Sunday night.
Erling Haaland was the star of the match at the San Siro, scoring twice to inspire the Norwegians past the Italians in their decisive qualifier. Antonio Nusa and Jørgen Strand Larsen added a goal each to seal the win and secure Norway’s return to the world stage.
Meanwhile, host nations the United States, Canada and Mexico had already received automatic qualification slots for the expanded 48-team tournament.
