Hansi Flick agrees new deal at Barca, Szczesny receives offer of two extra years

Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has agreed to sign a new contract at Barcelona, valid until June 2027.

“It’s all done and set to be sealed this month with a formal signature, but already approved with contract drafts. Official soon. One more year for Flick at Barça,” Fabrizio reported on Monday via X.

In addition, Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has confirmed receiving a two-year contract extension offer from the club but says a final decision will depend on discussions with his family.

“I have received a two-year contract extension offer from the club,” Szczesny revealed, acknowledging Barcelona’s intent to keep him at Camp Nou beyond his current deal.

However, the Polish international added that his future isn’t entirely settled.

“But I need to decide with my family what’s best for us,” he added.

The Polish goalie had previously made the decision to retire after his Juventus contract expired. Later, he left retirement to serve as Barcelona’s backup goalie in an emergency.
