Arsenal starlet Ethan Nwaneri has committed his future to the club by signing a new five-year contract that will keep him at the Emirates Stadium until the summer of 2030.
The 18-year-old’s previous deal was due to expire in June 2026, but the Gunners moved swiftly to secure the services of one of England’s brightest young talents.
“It means everything to me, I’m so happy to have got it done,” Nwaneri said. “This is where I feel at home, and where I’m going to develop the best. I see this as my first real season as part of a proper squad, and I’m excited about what I can bring to the team.”
Nwaneri, who made history in September 2022 as the youngest-ever Premier League player at 15 years and 181 days old against Brentford, enjoyed a breakout campaign last season. The attacking midfielder made 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals, and played a key role in Arsenal’s push for silverware.
He ended the 2024/25 season on a high, helping England’s Under-21s retain their European Championship crown in Slovakia in June.
Known for his creativity, improved directness, and growing goal threat, Nwaneri is now looking to build on his rapid rise as he embarks on what he calls his “first real season” as a fully-fledged member of Arsenal’s senior squad.
