Nigeria midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has officially been restored to Lazio’s Serie A squad after recovering fully from the injury he sustained in the September Derby della Capitale against Roma.

The 24-year-old was removed from the squad list following the setback, but Lazio have now made space for him by dropping Elseid Hysaj in the updated registration.

Lazio initially hesitated to bring him back into the squad due to his expected absence in December when he will join the Super Eagles for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Reports in Italy suggest the former Sheffield Wednesday midfielder could still be allowed to leave in the January transfer window, with his future at the club uncertain.

Dele-Bashiru has made only four league appearances for the Biancocelesti this season but is now in contention to feature when Lazio visit AC Milan at the San Siro on Saturday.
