Chelle Blames Costly Errors for Super Eagles B’s 4-0 CHAN Defeat to Sudan

Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle, has explained why his Team B suffered a 4-0 defeat to Sudan in their 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) clash on Tuesday.

Chelle watched as Kwesi Appiah’s men outclassed the Super Eagles B side, sealing Nigeria’s exit from the tournament.

An own goal from Leonard Ngenge, a strike from Walieldin Khedr, and a brace from Abdel Raouf handed Sudan a comfortable win.

The defeat came just days after Nigeria lost 1-0 to Senegal in their opening game.

Reflecting on the performance, Chelle admitted that costly errors were to blame for the heavy loss.

“We made a lot of mistakes and completely gave the game away in the second half,” Chelle said.
“Four goals, four mistakes. Across both games — against Senegal and Sudan — we made too many errors.”
