The home-based Super Eagles were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw against Zanzibar in a pre-2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) friendly played on Thursday.
Nigeria went into the break with a comfortable 2-0 lead, courtesy of goals from Anas Yusuf of Nasarawa United and Adedayo Olamilekan.
However, Zanzibar mounted a spirited comeback in the second half to level the score and secure a draw.
This was the second meeting between both sides in the space of four days, following a goalless draw in their first friendly on Monday.
The Nigerian team will now turn their focus to their opening Group D fixture at the CHAN 2024 finals, where they are set to face defending champions Senegal.
The match will take place next Tuesday at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar.
