The Confederation of African Football and the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee have announced that football supporters travelling to next year’s tournament will be eligible for free electronic visas.
The policy applies to citizens of countries that normally require a visa to enter Morocco. According to CAF, the e-visas can be obtained at no cost through the YALLA app by supporters attending the competition, scheduled to run from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.
CAF said the decision follows increasing global interest in Africa’s biggest football tournament, with ticket demand continuing to rise. It noted that fans will need two documents — a Fan ID and an e-visa — to stay in Morocco and gain access to stadiums throughout the event.
A Fan ID is compulsory for entry into all stadiums and official fan areas, and supporters can apply for both the Fan ID and the e-visa within the YALLA app.
The governing body described the process as streamlined, faster and more secure for international visitors and local fans.
Fans are required to download the YALLA app on Google Play or the App Store, or visit the official YALLA website to complete the Fan ID form and, where necessary, the e-visa request.
Once approved, supporters can then purchase match tickets via the CAF ticketing platform.
CAF said the new measures are aimed at ensuring a smooth and secure experience for fans attending the continent’s premier football event, which will be staged across nine stadiums in six Moroccan cities.
Morocco will be hosting the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time since 1988, with high expectations surrounding the return of the tournament to North Africa. A total of 24 teams will compete at AFCON 2025.
