Shooting Stars assistant coach, Akin Olowokere, died on Monday morning after collapsing during a training session.
Olowokere, recently appointed to the 3SC coaching crew, went down while on the pitch at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode, where the team was preparing for Matchday 2 of the ValueJet Cup 2025.
Medical staff attended to him immediately before he was rushed to an undisclosed hospital.
A former Sunshine Stars player and coach, Olowokere joined the Oluyole Warriors following the club’s decision to part ways with the Gbenga Ogunbote-led technical team earlier this season.
