Despite recently signing a two years contract renewal to extend his managerial stay with Manchester United, Erik ten Hag’s Old Trafford tenure may soon be coming to an end following dismal results.
Following the unconvincing show against Porto in the Europa League, Manchester United co-club owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly set to fly in for the EPL clash against high flying Aston Villa who defeated Bayern Munich in the UCL with the game set to decide his continuity.
Although Erik ten Hag has reportedly talked about the process the club is going to, he remains defiant that he is the right man for the job and speaking after the game yesterday, he posited that they will see what he’s building when the season ends.
“We will get there. Don’t judge us in this moment, judge us at the end of the season. We are in the process, we will improve. We have had two seasons where we have reached finals, we will continue and fight”.
“You see the spirit and the connection between the staff and the team. The players are together, they have a strong spirit and they want to achieve. We have a good mentality but in some defending parts we have to step up”, as culled via Dailymail.
Ratcliffe will be traveling to the UK for the match in the West Midlands as called by The Mirror. The minority shareholder has frequently been seen at United games at Old Trafford since acquiring his stake.
