Arsenal Edge AC Milan 1-0 in Preseason Opener in Singapore

Arsenal kicked off their preseason campaign with a narrow 1-0 victory over AC Milan at the National Stadium in Singapore on Wednesday.

The match saw the debut of new signings Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Christian Norgaard, all of whom featured as Mikel Arteta’s side began their preparations for the new season.

The Gunners looked sharp and well-organized from the onset, dominating possession and dictating the tempo in the early stages of the encounter. However, they were made to wait until after the break to find the breakthrough.

Bukayo Saka netted the decisive goal in the second half, volleying home a well-placed cross from substitute Jakub Kiwior. Arsenal continued to press for a second, with Reiss Nelson and Leandro Trossard both going close, but Saka’s strike ultimately sealed the win.

Arsenal will now turn their attention to their next preseason outing, a clash against Premier League rivals Newcastle United on Sunday.
