Arsenal Football Club have officially announced the signing of England international Noni Madueke from Chelsea on a long-term contract.
The 23-year-old winger, who was born in north London, becomes the latest addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad as the Gunners continue to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season.
Madueke began his youth career at Crystal Palace and Tottenham before making a name for himself at Dutch side PSV Eindhoven.
He later joined Chelsea in January 2023, going on to make 92 appearances for the Blues.
The versatile forward has also represented England at the senior level, earning seven caps since making his international debut in September 2024.
Speaking on the transfer, Arsenal’s Sporting Director Andrea Berta described the signing as “an excellent deal for a hugely talented young player.”
“Noni is a dynamic, versatile wide forward with strong technical ability who will significantly strengthen our squad,” Berta said. “He already has valuable experience at the top level and we know he will make a big impact at Arsenal.”
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta also expressed his delight with the acquisition.
“We’re all so happy to welcome Noni Madueke to the team,” Arteta said. “He is one of the most talented wide forwards in the Premier League.
At just 23, he already brings experience of club and international football, and his arrival will really improve our squad.”
Madueke has been handed the No. 20 shirt and is expected to link up with the squad in early August following the Club World Cup.
The transfer remains subject to final regulatory approval, according to the club’s official statement
