Ruben Amorim, the newly appointed manager of Manchester United, has disclosed that Jose Mourinho, the current head coach of Fenerbahce, reached out to him following his appointment.
Amorim is set to lead his first match against Ipswich on Sunday.
At 39 years of age, he succeeds Erik ten Hag, who was dismissed while the Red Devils were positioned in 13th place in the league standings.
In anticipation of the upcoming match at Portman Road, Amorim mentioned that Mourinho, who has previously managed United, provided him with valuable insights regarding the club.
Amorim stated, “He sent me a message, expressing that it is a significant club with wonderful people, which remains true.
“Many aspects have evolved. We are now in a different environment and are in the process of constructing a new one.
“I have also changed. I have been learning, and I aspire to impart some knowledge to my players.
“This is still the premier club in England, and our objective is to achieve victory.”
