Amorim Grateful for Ratcliffe’s Support Amid Manchester United Pressure

Under-fire Manchester United manager Reuben Amorim has expressed appreciation for the backing he continues to receive from the club’s co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, as scrutiny over the team’s performances intensifies.

Amorim’s remarks come amid mounting pressure from supporters and the media following a mixed start to the season.

Speaking in comments shared by football journalist Fabrizio Romano on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, Amorim said, “Yes, he tells me all the time, sometimes with a message. The most important thing is the next game. It’s really good to hear the support, also because of the noise.”

It was earlier reported that Ratcliffe has handed the Portuguese coach a three-year window to prove himself, assuring that he would not make a knee-jerk decision about Amorim’s future despite recent criticism.

Manchester United return to action on Sunday with a crucial Premier League trip to Anfield to face Liverpool.

Amorim will be hoping to build on the 2–0 victory over newly-promoted Sunderland before the international break as the defending champions aim to end a run of three games without a win.
