African football’s biggest stars will take centre stage tonight as the 2025 CAF Awards are unveiled in Rabat, Morocco, celebrating the continent’s finest performers between January 6 and October 15, 2025.
Leading the headlines is Victor Osimhen, the 2023 CAF Men’s Player of the Year, who returns to the shortlist once again. The Nigerian forward faces strong competition from Mohamed Salah of Egypt and Liverpool, and Moroccan and PSG fullback Achraf Hakimi.
On the women’s side, Nigeria’s Rasheedat Ajibade is in contention for Women’s Player of the Year, while goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie looks poised to claim her third consecutive Goalkeeper of the Year title after another outstanding year.
The CAF Awards recognise excellence across African football, honouring individuals and teams who have demonstrated consistency, brilliance, and leadership on and off the pitch.
When and Where?
The ceremony will be held on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, at 19:00 local time (18:00 GMT) at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Rabat.
Hosts and Performers
Beninese Grammy-winning icon Angélique Kidjo and Moroccan comedian Oualass will host this year’s event.
The night will also feature musical performances by:
- Moroccan singer Douaa Lahyaoui
- Congolese legend Awilo Longomba
- Ghanaian hitmaker Fuse ODG
