Paris Saint-Germain have bolstered their attack with the signing of Nigerian international Rasheedat Ajibade on a contract running until June 30, 2027.
The French giants confirmed the move on Tuesday, welcoming the 25-year-old striker from Atlético de Madrid, where she had played since 2021 following a stint in Norway with Avaldsnes IL.
Ajibade enjoyed a solid 2024–25 campaign in Spain, recording eight goals and three assists across 25 appearances. A product of FC Robo Queens, she was named Nigeria’s NFF Young Player of the Year in 2018 and has since risen to become captain of the Super Falcons.
Under her leadership, Nigeria won the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations titles in 2018 and 2024. She also featured prominently at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2024 Paris Olympics, establishing herself as a cornerstone of Nigerian football with more than 30 international caps.
Expressing her excitement, Ajibade said “I’m deeply honoured to be joining Paris Saint-Germain, a top-drawer club in Europe. This is a major step for me, and I’m committed to giving my all to help PSG win titles and to inspire young footballers, be they in Nigeria or elsewhere.”
