Arsenal Hit By Saka Injury Blow Ahead of Liverpool Clash

Arsenal have suffered a major setback with Bukayo Saka ruled out for up to four weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury.

The 23-year-old forward limped off during the Gunners’ emphatic 5–0 win over Leeds United on Saturday.

His absence means he will miss Sunday’s heavyweight Premier League clash against Liverpool, as well as England’s World Cup qualifying games against Andorra and Serbia next month.

Adding to Arsenal’s concerns, captain Martin Ødegaard is also a doubt for the Anfield trip.

The Norway international was forced off in the first half against Leeds after landing awkwardly on his shoulder, leaving the Emirates Stadium in a sling.

Despite the double injury scare, Arsenal remain hopeful that neither player faces a long-term spell on the sidelines.

Saka, in particular, will be monitored closely given that he missed three months last season with a similar hamstring problem.

Mikel Arteta, however, has plenty of options in attack this season following the arrivals of Viktor Gyökeres, Noni Madueke, and Eberechi Eze.

The Spaniard can also call on Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Ethan Nwaneri, and Max Dowman to fill the gaps if Saka and Ødegaard are unavailable.
