Arsenal have completed the signing of England international Eberechi Eze on a long-term contract, bringing the 27-year-old midfielder back to north London where his football journey began.
Eze, who came through Arsenal’s academy before rising to prominence at Queens Park Rangers and later Crystal Palace, joins after five years at Selhurst Park.
During his time with Palace, he made over 150 appearances and played a decisive role in the club’s historic FA Cup triumph earlier this year, scoring the winning goal in their 1–0 victory over Manchester City in the final.
The attacking midfielder first gained recognition at QPR, where he was named Player of the Year in 2020, before moving to Palace that summer and developing into one of the Premier League’s most creative playmakers.
On the international stage, Eze has earned 11 caps for England since his debut in 2023, scoring his first goal in a World Cup qualifier against Latvia.
Speaking on the transfer, Arsenal’s Sporting Director Andrea Berta said, “We are so pleased to have completed this deal to bring Eberechi to Arsenal. He is a creative and explosive talent with huge technical quality, and his international experience underlines his character as a big-game player.”
Manager Mikel Arteta also welcomed the signing, “We are absolutely delighted to bring Eberechi to Arsenal. He is powerful, exciting, and will give us a new dimension in attack. His journey, mentality, and ambition are exactly what we want in this team.”
Eze will wear the number 10 shirt and is expected to join his new teammates after Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Leeds United this weekend. The move remains subject to regulatory approval.
