Leon Bailey has sealed a season-long loan move from Aston Villa to AS Roma for the 2025/26 campaign, with the Italian club securing an option to make the transfer permanent.
The 28-year-old Jamaican winger joined Villa in 2021 from Bayer Leverkusen for £25m and went on to register 22 goals across 144 appearances for the Premier League side.
Bailey enjoyed his most prolific spell in the 2023/24 season, netting 14 goals in 52 appearances in all competitions, but endured a difficult campaign last term, scoring just twice in 38 matches.
Despite signing a contract extension in February 2024 that ties him to Villa Park until 2027, the forward will now continue his career in Serie A as Roma look to strengthen their attacking options.
