Spain forward Álvaro Morata has completed a move to Serie A side Como following the early termination of his loan spell at Galatasaray.
Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal on Monday, stating: “It’s all signed: Álvaro Morata can be considered the new Como player from AC Milan after Galatasaray loan broke.”
The 32-year-old striker, who spent the latter half of last season on loan in Turkey, opted to join Como in search of a more prominent role than he enjoyed with AC Milan in the previous campaign.
Morata made 25 appearances for Milan last season — starting 21 times — and contributed six goals and one assist. During his loan at Galatasaray, he featured in 16 matches, scoring seven goals and providing one assist.
Como, keen on building a competitive squad to cement their place among Italy’s top clubs, view Morata as a central figure in their plans. His registration will be completed once all formalities from the Galatasaray loan termination are finalised.
