Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has made history by becoming the most expensive footballer ever to play in Turkish football.
Osimhen was officially unveiled as a Galatasaray player on Wednesday night, with thousands of fans in attendance to welcome him.
The 26-year-old, who spent the previous season on loan from Napoli, has now completed a permanent move to the Istanbul giants.
Galatasaray activated his €75 million release clause to secure the deal from the Serie A club.
This staggering transfer fee places Osimhen well ahead of the previous record holder, Youssef En-Nesyri, who joined Fenerbahce for €19.5 million.
Rounding out the top five most expensive signings in Turkish football are three other Galatasaray players: Gabriel Sara (€18 million), Mario Jardel (€17 million), and Nicolo Zaniolo (€15 million).
