South Africa’s Bafana Bafana will welcome the Super Eagles of Nigeria to the Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein for a crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying clash on September 9, 2025.

According to a statement from Nigeria Football Federation’s Head of Communications, Ademola Olajire, the high-stakes encounter is scheduled to kick off at 4 p.m. GMT, 5 p.m. in Nigeria and 6 p.m. local time in South Africa.

The venue, formerly known as Vodacom Park and later Free State Stadium, boasts a capacity of 46,000 and has been a historic ground since its opening in 1995.

This Matchday 8 fixture could prove decisive in the race for the sole qualification ticket from Group C to the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Mexico, and Canada.

The showdown in Bloemfontein comes just three days after Nigeria hosts Rwanda’s Amavubi in another key group game on September 6.
