Nurudeen Aweroro has been appointed the new head coach of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Shooting Stars.
Aweroro joins the Oluyole Warriors from Ikorodu City following the recent dismissal of Gbenga Ogunbote by the club’s newly restructured management team earlier this week.
The young tactician made headlines last season after guiding Ikorodu City to an impressive fourth-place finish in their debut NPFL campaign. He had taken over the reins midway through the season after the departure of former coach Bright Ozebagbe.
Aweroro’s coaching team has already resumed duties at the club ahead of the new season, with preparations underway.
Shooting Stars are set to officially unveil Aweroro at their club secretariat in Jericho, Ibadan, on Friday.
