Chelle Unveils Final Super Eagles B Squad for 2025 CHAN

Head coach Eric Chelle has officially released the final 23-man squad list for the Super Eagles B team ahead of the 8th African Nations Championship (CHAN), set to take place across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda from August 2 to 30, 2025.

Leading the team is captain Junior Harrison Nduka, alongside key players like defender Sikiru Alimi and experienced forward Godwin Obaje.

The squad also features goalkeeper Henry Ozoemena Ani, defenders Sodiq Ismaila and Stephen Mayo Egbe, midfielders Hadi Haruna and Alex Oyowah, and forwards Anas Yusuf, Ijoma Anthony, and Sikiru Alimi.

The team has been in intensive training at the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State, and will depart for Zanzibar on Thursday evening aboard an Ethiopian Airlines flight.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has scheduled a second-phase training camp in Zanzibar from July 25 to 31.

As part of preparations, the 2018 CHAN silver medalists will play two friendly matches against the Zanzibar national team, on July 28 and July 31.

“These friendly matches will help fine-tune the squad before the competition kicks off,” the NFF stated, confirming that all necessary arrangements have been finalized.

Nigeria, who also won bronze in the 2014 edition, have been drawn in Group D of the 19-team tournament. They will face defending champions Senegal, Sudan, and Congo in the group stage.

The Super Eagles B will play their first two group matches — against Senegal and Sudan — at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar. Their final group clash against Congo is scheduled for the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
