Remo Stars striker Sikiru Alimi is on the verge of completing a move to Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Rivers United.
Reports indicate that Alimi is expected to undergo a medical ahead of signing a one-year contract with the Port Harcourt-based club, who are former NPFL champions.
The 29-year-old recently became a free agent following the expiration of his contract with reigning champions Remo Stars last month.
Widely regarded as one of the top strikers in the Nigerian top flight, Alimi has previously featured for clubs such as Shooting Stars, Lobi Stars, and Sunshine Stars.
He is currently on international duty with the Super Eagles B team.
