WSL: Chelsea Women win sixth consecutive Women’s Super League

Chelsea Women yesterday emerged as champions of the 2024/25 Barclays Women’s Super League, rounding off a dominant campaign that saw them amass zero defeats, 17 wins and three draws in 20 matches.

With two games still to play, the Blues are currently top of the table with 54 points, nine points ahead of second-placed Arsenal, who lost to Aston Villa yesterday 5-2 at Villa Park. Arsenal have only managed 14 wins, three loses and three draws. Manchester United are third with 43 points, while Manchester City complete the top four with 39 points.

Chelsea’s dominance was on show throughout the season, boasting the league’s best defensive record with just 13 goals conceded, and scoring an impressive 54 goals — only Arsenal scored more (56).

“Your Barclays WSL champions for 2024/25: Chelsea,” the club declared in celebration of their league triumph via X on Wednesday.

This victory makes it six consecutive times that Chelsea Women have won the league.
