Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka made a triumphant return from a three month injury lay off, to score in his first game back to help the Gunners secure a 2-1 victory over Fulham in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium.
Saka, who had been sidelined with an injury since December, found the net in the 73rd minute, finishing off a well-placed assist from Gabriel Martinelli to put Arsenal 2-0 ahead at the Emirates Stadium.
The home side had taken the lead in the 37th minute through Mikel Merino, though helped by a deflection who converted an assist from Ethan Nwaneri.
Arsenal controlled the game, enjoying 52% of the ball and registering four shots on target compared to Fulham’s three.
Despite Arsenal’s dominance in the game, Fulham managed to pull one back in stoppage time through Rodrigo Muniz, assisted by Ryan Sessegnon, setting up a tense finale.
However, Arsenal held on to claim all three points, to cut the gap to Liverpool to nine (9) points.
