The Chief Coach of Bendel Insurance FC, Monday Odigie, has reportedly stepped down from his position due to the team’s unsatisfactory performance in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
According to reports from correspondents, the announcement of the coach’s resignation was made via a notice posted on the club’s official social media platforms on Friday.
The notice stated, “We will be facing Kwara Utd on Saturday without Coach Monday Odigie. He submitted his resignation letter following our 3-2 defeat to Rangers on Sunday evening. We await the final decision from Management. Additionally, our Matchday 13 will be held behind closed doors, meaning no fans will be permitted entry to the stadium, in compliance with NPFL regulations.”
Attempts to confirm this information with the club’s Media Officer, Kehinde Osagiede, were unsuccessful, and calls to Coach Odigie went unanswered.
Reports indicate that Bendel Insurance FC has struggled in the current NPFL season, currently sitting at the bottom of the table with only nine points from 12 matches.
