Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi has praised the “spectacular” performance of Barcelona under the guidance of new coach Hansi Flick.
Barcelona has achieved victory in 11 of their first 13 LaLiga matches with Flick at the helm.
Additionally, the team has secured three wins out of four in the Champions League and currently leads in scoring across both tournaments.
Messi expressed admiration for the significant presence of homegrown talent, noting that eight academy graduates played in the 4-0 El Clásico triumph over Real Madrid this season.
“I take immense pride in how the first team is representing the club at this moment,” Messi stated in an interview with TV3.
“This Barcelona team is truly remarkable, though it does not come as a surprise to me. This has always been the case, at least since I joined the club as a 13-year-old.
“It is remarkable that young players have been given opportunities over the past two years, and when they are entrusted with responsibility, they respond exceptionally well because they possess a deep understanding of the club.”
