Chelsea’s manager, Enzo Maresca, has announced that captain Reece James will be unavailable for their Premier League match against Leicester City.
During a press conference on Thursday, Maresca disclosed that the defender has sustained “a minor injury.”
He stated, “Regrettably, Reece experienced a slight issue, and we prefer not to take any risks for this match.
“We are optimistic that it is not a long-term concern. We believe it is a short-term matter, indeed.”
Maresca also mentioned the possibility of fielding Joao Felix and Cole Palmer together in upcoming matches.
“I envision Cole Palmer and João Félix playing alongside each other as one of our objectives moving forward.
“João has been performing exceptionally well with us since his arrival; the only challenge is achieving the right balance,” he added.
