Former West Ham United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has identified Chelsea’s Pedro Neto as the standout signing of the Premier League season.
Hislop asserts that the Portuguese international introduces a unique dynamic to Chelsea’s play on the flanks.
Neto made the move to Chelsea from Wolverhampton Wanderers for a fee of £54 million during the summer transfer window.
In his remarks on ESPN FC regarding the season’s top signing, Hislop stated: “He was a significant investment for Chelsea, and we were aware of the talent he brought from Wolves. I believe he adds a different dimension to their wide play. Each time he enters the match, he has the ability to alter the course of the game for Chelsea.
“I consider him to be one of the most positive aspects of Chelsea’s performance this season, which has been quite promising thus far.”
